8hp evinrude wont start

I have an 8hp Evinrude that wont start. Choke was difficult to pull out and no matter how many pulls no start.
Took the engine cover off and noticed when the choke was pulled out (with a lot of effort) fuel was leaking from the choke and the carb base.
Any help? trying to sell this boat and have never encountered this.
checked plugs and have good spark.

Posting here was a last minute decision and I dont have the model number available. Its a late 80's 2 stroke. Will post Mod number when I get home.
 
Hey Boobie, I tore into it last night and there is corrosion in the carb. Here in california there is a lot of water in the fuels. If you dont run the carb dry prior to storage corrosion will develope on brass components. Will take carb apart tonight, clean and reassemble. Should be fine following this proceedure. I will post results and pics if possible. Choke was gummed up as well. Acted as a pump or piston when you tried to pull it out. All clean and works finde now.
