"I have a 1989 Baja Islander 190 with a Mercruiser 4.3 V6. When i have the boat in the water the engine will run at idle for a while before eventually stalling out. If i throttle up at all it will immediately bog down and stall. Last season i was having the same issue and ended finding many things wrong. Changed the fuel pump, alternator, thermostat, full tune up (ignition/oil) new battery, ive checked the anti siphon valve and now the probelm is back. any ideas would be greatly appreciated"

Has carb been cleaned and read

Has carb been cleaned and readjusted? Idle speed adjusted to spec? Any of last season's fuel still in tank? Spark plug wires tested?

"The idle speed has been adjusted there was no old fuel in tank, i have ran some carb cleaner through but not rebuilt it or anything to serious, plugs and wires and coil and all the ignition works as advertised."

"Could be insufficient fuel pressure at the carb, ot the small filter at the carb inlet is plugged, if its equipped with one.
YOu should T a pressure gauge into the fuel inlet line to the carb and see what you have. It should be 5 psig or so at all load conditions. The exact prssure is not critical like with an EFI engine, but it needs to be in the 5 psig range.
If it turns up low, you have a filter issue, bad fuel pump, or maybe your tank vent line is plugged.
