My GT150 has always been very dependable just a little cold blooded but once you get it warmed up its great. I just uncovered the boat after about 6 months of sitting started it up, which it fires right up but noticed it was having a hard time idling and when i try to rev it up it would bog down and sometimes stall i thought it was fuel related issue but i noticed my spark was weak not Brite blue and snappy but rather orange and i notice sometimes cylinders 1 and 3 had no spark. It starts up easy but once you get it warmed up enough to get it to idle it will misfire and sometimes buck and stall but starts right back up, but once again when i pull the plugs and check spark its orange not blue and it seems real week. i do have a brand new set of champion plugs in it QL77JC4 gap is .040 i did pull my flywheel and checked the magnets and looked at the stator and timer base both looked good no signs of melting. I just bought a DVA for my meter but not sure how to go about testing it. Trying to find a good service Manuel for this motor that is more specific for this motor and not 10 or 20 different years and hp ratings is hard any suggestions. thanks.

Running with VRO in service or 50:1 mix?----Do you leave fuel in the carburetors when motor is not in use ?-----The first step on any " trouble " motor is a compression test.---Post the actual values here.---Have battery load tested.------And do you push the key in and HOLD it in while cranking for cold starting ??--Load test your battery.----Take starter apart for cleaning / inspection , ohm test on armature and perhaps new brushes.----Note ---no $$$ spent so far.
