in the process of rebuilding the carbs and i have a question on the fuel bowls. there are four "jets" in the passageways. when I removed them I didn't realize the orifices were two different sizes. Can anyone point me in the right direction of which passage gets the larger of the orifices? the vertical or the horizontal. Items 3 & 13

What # is etched on #13?---#13 is the larger one.------Model # of your V-4 crossflow.-----What is your motor doing / not doing?----There is a history of broken piston rings on these motors.----Take a compression test.----For future reference.----Post the actual values here.

Thanks for the reply. Unknown hours on the engine but the compression readings are within 120-125.
Carbs were flooding into the lower pan and wouldn't idle. Gasket on one of the bowls was squished out from overtightening. All electrical, coils, plugs wires etc have been changed.
56C on the larger and 26C on the smaller.

If you're unsure, always double-check with a parts diagram or factory manual — jets affect performance a lot, especially on older 2-strokes like yours.
