"Gray wire leading from engine

"Gray wire leading from engine wiring harness to terminal block is tach sensor wire. Other gray wire at that terminal leads to regulator/rectifier.

Move the engine harness gray (tach) wire to the stator Yellow/Gray wire. If tach now works, the regulator/rectifier is faulty.

If there is only Yellow stator wires (no yellow/gray), connect to one yellow lead, then the other for the test.
