Oil blowing out prop and exhaust!
Replaced impeller and gear case oil. Upon reinstall and cranking on the muffs oil blowing out exhaust. Looks like gearcase oil but when I removed foot again oil is only in exhaust cavity. None on impeller housing or shifter rod housing. Stuck finger up into lower exhaust pipe (with foot off) and oil up in exhaust. Lots and thick. What could it be? I think seals are good on food but I'm unsure. Any help please.

check lower unit for water, running on muffs sometimes the unburned gas run down exhaust and you get oil/black drip at prop, does oil smell like lower unit oil?

What temperature is the motor running??

It's the oil that you put in the gas. Every drop of that oil goes through the engine. Some burns (smoke) and the rest goes out the exhaust. Sorry, but that's the way it is.

Um...he said "cranking on muffs". Does that mean "running on muffs" or not? Was it fogged, last time it ran?
