well guys, the motor at first when i tried to fire it up it would give me a hard time to get going, but once i was able to turn it on and go out and shut it off, no matter for how long, it would fire up right away. The deal is that two weeks after the last time i use it, i tried to take it out for a ride, but i was not getting any spark, please help.

You would probably get more of a response if you provided any information about your engine at all, such as the HP, what you have checked, any other troubleshooting you have done, etc.

i was checking the spark that bridge across when you remove the spark plug wire and barely touch the the of the spark plug, then as you turn the ignition and look to see if there is any spark jumping across. but there is none.

Remove spark plugs. Disconnect the large RED electrical plug at the engine. Check spark by jumping the starter solenoid. If you now have proper spark, replace the ignition switch.

If still no spark, inspect the two large black coils (beginning of ignition system) at the rear of the stator under the flywheel. If either of them is dripping a substance down upon the timer base and powerhead area, replace the stator.

Must be contageous. My port engine is the same as yours, doing the same thing. On mine, spark returns before I can get it diagnosed. Mine must be a bad connection or ground on the Power Pack, because when I leave the hood off for 15 to 20 minutes in the sun, everything returns to normal. I pull the red plug next time!
