"Could someone please let me know how much a used 1989 Johnson 15 hp short shaft is worth? Looking to buy this motor but not quite sure what they are worth. It has a new prop, waterpump and good compression. Thxs for your help in advance....jeff f"

before you buy it pull the bottom plug (drain) screw from the lower unit and make sure no water comes out. if it has water in the lower unit it will need seals......which can sometimes be a pain in the but to replace.

other than that prices vary depending on how bad you want it and how bad the seller needs the money. for example i have 2 small alluminum boats, one has a '74 9.8hp merc and one has a '64 18hp evinrude, and i gave $600 for each rig-boat,motor, and trailor. and a few months later i bought a fiberglass bass boat with a '79 115hp johnson for $400."
