"I have a completely disassembled the lower unit and very carefully layed out the parts in the order that they were removed. I am now putting it back together. My unit has the 3 ball bearings therefore it is my understanding this is a Type ll unit. My problem is I have no Thrust Bearing. Are there some units that do not have this bearing? Also, there are no needle bearings in the reverse gear end of the bearing carrier, as indicated in the Selco Manuel diagram for Type ll units. Can anybody help?"
