I have reassembled most of the

I have reassembled most of the lower unit. I am having trouble installing the bearing carrier into the housing because of the new O ring. Any suggestions??

"Hey, grease the o-ring and dont be shy putting it in, you will need to use some force to get it in there.

May I ask what all you replaced when you were "rebuilding your lower unit"???"

"How do you keep the O ring in the groove while forcing it into the housing? All I replaced was seals, O rings and rebuilt the water pump. All the bearing looked OK. Did I miss sumething? "

"-Hey, I was just making sure you didnt put new gears/bearings in (of course you would have to shim in that case). Aslong as you got your shims back in the right place you'll be good to go.
