"I have a 1988 40 horse Evinru

"I have a 1988 40 horse Evinrude. The motor cranksfine and idles fine. However, when I opened up the throttle past half way it bogs down like being smothered. If I use the ckoke while running it opens up and runs for a couple of seconds. What is wrong?"
 
"The carburetor is fouled some

"The carburetor is fouled somewhat. Remove, clean, and rebuild it using a complete carburetor kit.
