1988 Bayliner Cuddy (1952CK) with OMC Cobra 5.0/4V (chevy 305).

My last ride of last season I was taking her back in when my speedometer stopped working.

How do I fix it? I dont even know where the speedometer port is?

Thanks all!

Look for this on the transom of your boat. It is designed to pop up if you hit something. or trailer.

Thanks for the pointer. I checked mine....which looks just like this and it is very rigid and is still pointed down. It looks like mine has a screw at the top, which prevents it from flipping up. Your picture shows the screw hole in the center, but without the screw.

The tube is still connected....so I guess I need to do the screw driver bit trick and see if it is gunked up?

any water on the floor of the boat around the helm? the hose can come off. you can blow through the hose. 10psi is about 30mph if i recall

Not sure if you can lay on the floor and reach up behind the dash? If not try adapting an air pump to the hose at the transom end and see if the needle moves.

I know mine was blocked up a bit, and I blew on the hose from the speedo back and cleared the tube, maybe that will help ya. I just pulled my speedo right out it was a lot easier than trying to reach up and disconnect and reconnect the hose.
