When I bring the number one cylinder up to top dead center my timing mark on my flywheel that is the single mark is not lined up with the pointer is this correct?
 
Yep that was the next thing I was going to check apparently the history on this motor no one has been able to get it started since it sat I mean it coughed a little bit it doesn't turn over really good on a brand new battery I did lubricate the cylinders rebuilt the carburetors but like I said top dead center is not aligned with that single mark on the flywheel so that's my next step I'm going to pull that sucker off and line it up see what that does. Also my compression is 145 on all 4 cylinders
 
So I pulled off the flywheel the key was absolutely gone so it did move and also I found the flywheel to have a big crack in it so I'm getting another flywheel off eBay that's in pretty good shape finally get this motor running that no one else could get running it looks really really clean like it hasn't ran in a long time so we'll see thanks for the advice

Yes I am doing the impeller and a lot of different little things since this motor has sat a long time but like I said underneath the cowling everything looks new I don't think this motor ran that much I wish I knew more of the history on it the hours on the boat only had 40 hours on it. Also gear oil all the lubrication you know total maintenance
