Good day y'all. Rob here... I purchased a Tracker V-17 earlier this year with an Evinrude 60ELCUC with PTT that worked when sitting in the guys driveway, but when I get home, put it in the lake and hit the PTT switch on the remote...nada except waaahhh up and clicking down. I replaced both relays and all I get now is relay activation clicks. I tested the voltage on the output side of the relays with <-1VDC down (or up but who knows anymore) and >.8VDC up (or down...) at the male side of the connector from the relay box. On the other side of the connector, nada. I jumpered over the connector and have the same voltage now as on the relay side so I assume the connector is bad. However, I have no clue as to what the output voltage should be from the relays in order to actuate the pump for the PTT. Does anyone have a clue on this? I do not have a repair manual at this time. Does anyone have an idea on where to t-shoot next. I added oil (ATF) to the reservoir but still nothing. My wife is about to brain me as I bought a broken boat (in her opinion. :rolleyes
but I assured her I can fix it. I have 20 years electronic experience in the AF, not the Navy so boat motor repair is not my forte (planes either for that matter
), but I'm confident with the right direction I can do it. many layer of paint on the pump and reservoir and I cannot get to any back screws to remove them. How can I safely remove them from the assembly or remove the entire assembly? So, basically...HELP!?! If Mr. Joe Reeves is still active, perhaps he can shed some light on this topic...? Thanks guys or gals in advance for your kind and generous assistance.
