So I just rebuilt my 87 mercury 70 hp motor which had spark before but the middle cylinder was not firing only when the other spark plugs were grounded to the block. Now I have no spark put a new trigger in. The stator red and blue wire test .565 on 200k ohm it calls for 3.6to 4.2. The blue wire to ground does not leave 1 on the meter. Is the stator bad now? Thanks in advance for any response thy e summer is almost over and my son really would like to get the boat in the water thanks.
