87 Mercury 115 hp carburetor cleaning question?

I'm attempting to clean my first set of carbs. I've removed carbs and disassembled eveything. But i can't get the idletter tube out the main fuel nozzle or the gasket under inlet needle and seat assembly. Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated thanks
