As long as you pump the bulb it runs smooth. It has a new line, bulb tank and fittings. Not sure what could be problem but I still run during winter so the boat needs to be fixed.I'm thinking fuel pump not sure looking for imput things to check before buying. So thanks in advance

Bad fuel pump or bad crankcase pulses.--------Repair kits are availabe for fuel pumps.---New pumps are expensive !

Thanks for the reply Ill look up a rebuild kit and get it ordered. When you say Bad cranckcase pulses What are you talking about how do you check does boat have to be under load or something I can do in driveway with muffs?

The nature of a 2 stroke engine says that the crankcase compression has to be good in order for the pump to work.----There is also a slightly negative pulse to the pump when piston goes " up " into the cylinder.---------You can check for this at the pump pulse port by pulling the motor with a rope or using the electric starter.-----Is it equipped with a VRO pump or a " 48 special " type pump.---------Ether way your easiest diagnoses will be to take the pump apart for inspection.

It had the VRO but was taken out regular pump on it now i looked it up only 50 plus think Ill buy a new one and not mess with rebuilding it.Would a new fuel pump fix the pulse issue as well seeing you said it pulses at the fuell pump? And thanks alot for taking the time to answer my questions

A new fuel pump will not fix bad pulsing from the crankcase !---------Visit U-TUBE for tutorials on how your engine works.---------Repairing fuel pumps is easy , there is no magic to it.
