I can remove the elec housing, the brushes are stuck, the armiture is OK, cleaned the contacts on it. Can I replace just the brushes?"

"You can try Doug Russell's for either the trim motor or the motor seal/brush kit. See diagram below #44 is the motor PN 984356 or the kit is #46 PN 984961 or check eBay, here's a whole unit

select year
engine size
model number (this is engine model not drive)
then whatever major section you want to see

Hey Andrew...sorry about that, I missed the PN search totally although had gone into the OMC section but couldn't see anything pointing to trim/tilt. I'll remember that next time before I go looking to you know who (DR)
