86 8hp cant start

Cant figure this one. '86 8hp 2 stroke. wont even try to start. Sprayed starting fluid and a little gas in the cylinder and still not even a slight hint of starting.
Both plugs are getting a spark. I added fuel to the chamber and I know its getting air.
What am I missing?

I worked on a 1984 Suzuki 4HP with the same problem.I ended up rebuilding the fuel-pump and installing new crankseals.Started on first pull.

Update - compression....I soid it. I have enough hobby work with my boat.
