"Get a Seloc or Mercruiser manual, they are cheap insurance yet they are priceless for working on your 470. The website Guy G posted is a good one and I've found a lot of useful tidbits on it that aren't in the manual but it isn't as specific as the manuals. Using both will minimize frustrations when working on your boat.

For example the website is for general mercruiser and doesn't give specific locations on all your drain plugs on the 470 raw water system which need to be drained completely for proper winterization."
