Ok so duck seasons here and im all but ready to sink this motor. Bought the boat as strickly a duck boat. Motor had been over tinkered with. So far. New coils, new pull start, fuel filter, bubble line, tank, plugs, wires, cowl latches, prop, oil changes, etc. Boat was a bucket. A 16' monarch used as an oyster boat off the coast. Now hull and interiors restored but runs BAAAAD! I have 0 spark on the #2 cylinder. Pull wire, insert screwdriver and sparks.to ground. Rebuild kit to carb twice, clean as a penny. Replaced priming apparatus and all seems fine with fuel delivery. Motor appears, although untested to have compression. Tell tell pops are there. Pulled and cleaned reeds and they arent cracked and seemed to seal. Still cold plug on #2. Swap plugs, #2s dead. Swap coil packs #2s dead. Definate flame from coil but appears no fuel in the clyinder for combustion. Where could problem be? Ignition? Fuel delivery? Timing? Really at a loss. Is fuel making it into cylinder? Can I check? Switch coils and still a dead cylinder. How deep do I need to breakdown and what suggestions do you guys have? Really at my wits end. Motor runs great on one cylinder. Id LOVE to see how it would push with two. Please help!
