85HP Johnson manual lifting mechanism

Hi Guys
Hopefully someone can help, I have an 85hp Johnson engine which I believe is around the 1977 model. My engine has the manual lifting mechanism with a lever which you lift up to put the motor up and put the lever down to put the motor down. However the other day the rod that operates the spring snapped whilst I was towing the boat and went over a bump and so now I cannot keep the motor lifted. What I need to know is where can I get one of these mechanisms from.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can probably buy one right here at MarineEngines,You need the model number,then search out the part on the parts site.Next time you want to haul it in the up position but a 1 & 1/4 closet pole between the motor and transom mount with a rope around the bracket to hold it in place.You wont break that pin.
