85 mariner hose from head

hi i have a 60 mariner just found a hose going from the top of the head near the spark plug ,going around the motor down near the tank but is blocked off there ,what is this hose for ,cheers

I can not see your motor or boat.----But I would say that is for a water pressure gauge.
