im rebuilding a 85hp 1975 motor johnson
what would be the best sealer for the case halves
i was thinking permatex form a gasket or gasket eliminator also the book says
gel coat 2 what is it
the parts place did not have any

The crankcase halves are a " precision joint "------------preparation must be meticulous !-----------Gel seal is available from the local BRP dealer or loctite 518 -----------Using the wrong sealer will lead to disastrous results as it may not squeeze out properly resulting in poor bearing "clamp-up "
