"I got 85 evinrude 20, pull st

"I got 85 evinrude 20, pull start, change to electric start, try to make remot control, got control box and cables, but seems like i can't get the clips that holds the shift cable to motor, it has single nut hole that holds the clip so shift cable doesn't move. other model they have to clip but not on this one. if anybody know where i can get it please let me know. or maybe this model is not ment to be use as remote control. my outboard model number is E20CRCOS.
p.s went to outboard parts dearler and they have no clue, doesn't even show up in part section.

"im not sure exactly what you are looking for but i went to shopevinrude.com (they have exploded diagrams in the parts section) and found the throttle control linkage rod and controll lever in the cylinder and crankcase diag....youll have to zoom in to see it its at the top right-----i also found the throttle control gear in the midsection diag, top right also----for some reason the midsection,elec start doesnt show the tiller handle but the midsection,rope start does

i couldnt find anything that hooks a cable to the throttle/timing control.....it may be something you have to rig up

maybe one of the brains of this outfit knows of the parts you need or what will interchange off of something else"

i was thinking i was blind i looked at those diagrams close to an hour and couldnt find anything like that......glad to know the info is still out there.

"Kurtis..... I'm really not sure BUT by the looks of the kit, I would say just one kit.

Parts 1 thru 4 appear to be related to the shift, and parts 5 thru 7 appear to be related to the throttle."

but i think, i need the two kits because 1-4 is for cable ends and 5-7 is to mount it to motor so cable doesn't move. that's what i am guessing.
