Thanks, Gary"

Look at the basics:
Battery charged?
Battery switch on?
Remote in Neutral?
Emergency cut-off switch key inserted?
Manual/electric start switch in proper position? (Red knob near starter used when you want to use pull rope to start)

Battery tested fine. Am guessing it's a bad switch. Can they got out all at once? Took it apart and all the screws are tight. Any thoughts?

Hopefully I have my answer. "shorty" 20 amp fuse on rear port was blown. It lasted 24 years. Will get a new one tomorrow and report.

The fix-a wire connection came completely off the starter switch. It was the one that makes the engine shut off. It made contact with one of the other posts and that is what was blowing the fuse. Fuse is a 20 amp 32 volt 1/2 inch glass.
I had noticed at certain times the last couple years I wasn't getting a good shut off--now that's fixed. 2 birds with one shot.
