84 Mercury 35hp no fire on one plug

I'm trying to diagnose whats going on with my outboard.

I have a strong spark on the top cylinder but nothing on the bottom. I've switched the plugs and wires and no change (top cylinder still fires)

I still need to swap the coils to see if the problem moves...but also want to know how i can test the switchbox and/or the wiring??

Right. Be sure to diagram which wire goes where BEFORE you do anything.
