"I have an 83 Evinrude 90, rebuilt a few years ago. Has good compression on all 4 cylinders so I would like to keep it for a few more years. I rebuilt my 2 carbs (I have the older style), blew them out, put new floats, needle valves and gaskets. Also, rebuilt the fuel pump. Took it out immediately after, it ran like a dream, didn't miss a beat, ran better than it has in years. Took it out a second time and started with a rough idle, then would not start at all. Drained out the old gas, put in new. Pulled out carbs again, they are clean as a whistle. I think its electrical. On bottom right cylinder, I get what I think is sporadic spark when I turn it over- also shocked the pee wine out of me. Any advice comments would be welcome. Thanks."
