82 Evinrude 115 leaking carbs.....help please

I have a 1982 Evinrude 115 that i just rebuilt the carbs on. When i put it all back together the motor flashed and ran fine with muffs. The issue is the there is fuel leaking from one or both carbs. It drips slowly (1 drip every 10 plus seconds). The drips are coming off of the back of the carbs between the manifold and carbs. When i took the carbs back off, the gaskets had a wet fuel mark running down to the point where the fuel looked like it was leaking from. I can't figure out where I went wrong.
Thanks in advance.

I would recheck the float height. check the manual for the correct position. The black float is suppose to be parallel with the carb and I believe have a 9/16" drop.

I rechecked the floats on both carbs and they are all good. It looks like the fuel is leaking from the same spot on both carbs. It doesn't leak when i prime the carbs and the ball gets hard. The leaks only start once the motor is running. I stop the motor and take off the carbs....both have fuel dripping from between the manifold and carb but only under one barrel (the driver side). I can see the gaskets are soaked with gas down the middle and off to the driver's side and out the bottom. Both carbs are leaking the exact same way. I am at a complete loss.

I guess I have to ask how you tighten the lower nuts behind the linkage on the starboard side of the carbs. I used to have to pop the linkage off and manually turn the the butterfly with my finger to get the wrench in there to turn the nut. If the gasket behind the carb. comes off wet it would have to be that gasket. Just kind of push it out as you can see. Don't touch the screw that holds the two bars together because that is a rather important adjustment.

Thanks for the help....yes the nuts are tight...last night i discovered I think i'm fighting 2 issues... 1 is the soaking wet gasket between the carbs and manifold... 2 is a plastic nipple just below the top carb on the manifold is dripping when the motor is running...it has a small hose that appears to go to a cylinder...I haven't figured out what exactly it does but there are 4 total on the manifold.

There maybe an explanation of what those hoses do in an original service manual from OMC for that year. Circulation hoses. If you replace them you'll have to get hose that is impervious to gas . I recommend replacing all four. Congratulations on what you have done so far. You'll get it !
