"Hi I found this site trying to find info on an 82 Chriscraft 24 ft Hard top Fishing boat. What I need to know is can I install a 350 cid in place of a 3.0 mercruiser? It had twin 3.0s and for some reason was converted to a single, A new transom was installed for the conversion. It has a Alpha I outdrive that I would like to use on the 350. Will the gimble houseing work or will I have to change it too?? Its only use will be running lake Ontario for Salmon and Steelhead trolling. Or would you recomend installing a outboard kicker motor and keep the 3.0 Any help would be appriciated
