Hi All. I finally received my new thermostats over the weekend after a long wait. They seem to work slightly differently to the old ones and I am concerned that they won't have enough clearance in their housing to work effectively
The 81 V4 90HP has the two thermostats at the bottom of the power head at the front of the exhaust housing.
The old ones have a fixed "cap" and the thermostat "retracts" when required. Meaning the operating space required is the size of the thermostat. The new ones have a moving "cap" which "extends" when required. The space in the thermostat cover is very limited and I am concerned that they won't open enough due to the space restrictions. I have attached to small pictures to show what I'm on about.

Has anyone got an experience or advice on this. I am in South Africa, so getting spares is a nightmare and simply exchanging them isn't really an option.
Thanks all.
