"Here is the problem maybe someone can help.
Ling cod fishing I raised the tilt up to make sure a line didnt hit it, When I went to trim down, the outdrive will not go down. There is no noise or anything. I called vessel assist after looking at it and hearing nothing when clicking trim down.
Finally we got the outdrive down manually by releasing it, so we made it back to Edmonds WA safely.
I got out the trouble shooting manual, and I tried everything! New fuses for up and down, we connected a 12v Jumper wire straight to the blue wire for up (like it said) and the outdrive went up. Connected it to the green wire for down, nothing. Like it has no power not even a sound.
After that we took about the switch, and did the same thing. Connected the 12v jumper wire to the up, it went up. Connected it to down, nothing...silence.
Do I need a new hydrolic pump? Is it possibly a solenoid? I read that the solenoid can be replaced for a lot cheaper then the pump. Time's are tough! I would rather not spend a lot of money but I will have to if it is not a simple solution.
A note.
I installed 2 new batteries to my boat this trip, and I know for a fact I connected everything Back exactly how it was. So I disconnected everything again and reconnected it. Same thing. am I missing something?"
