81 Johnson lower unit vrs 75 evenrude lower unit. are they the same?

I have an 81 Johnson 15 hp. My lower unit went bad, I found a 75 Evinrude 15 hp lower unit that is available. By looking at the photos, it looks the same. The seller says his shaft protrudes 13 inches from the lower unit. "did not say if it was from the water pump or frame". My shaft protrudes 14.25 inches form the frame and 12.5 from the top of the water pump. Will this Evinrude lower unit work on mine?

Ok, these units are interchangeable from 74 to the 90"s !!!!!
