"Here's my problem, I have no spark on the port side of the motor. I swapped ign. boxes still no spark on the port side. Before it died I heard a noise the the motor that sounded like something rubbing the flywheel, checked around seen nothing even close to it and the starter gear had no signs of touching it. Could use some help."

"Check the rubber connecting plugs to see if a pin or socket may have backed out slightly (bad connection). Might also be a good idea to remove the flywheel to inspect the stator and timer base, etc."
