8 HP Honda runs for 10 minutes and then stalls canbt restart it

"I've got a 1999 8 H.P. Honda that stalls after about 10 minutes of trolling and I can't restart it. It runs off the same built in gas tank as the big Mercury and the Merc runs fine. The caruretor has been rebuilt, new fuel filter and fuel pump. The problem still exists. Any thoughts. Ignition box maybe?"

"Hi, had similar prob. with my '03 Honda BF8A. Check your fuel connector, the tiny o-ring fails, and it begins sucking air, the motor will run almost 10 min. on just the fuel in the float bowl. I've been using dielectric grease on the connector to prolong life, but they still seem to go bad in a couple years. Keep a spare on board! Lemmie know if this helps...."
