I do not have a key switch but want to test my electric start system before I buy one, i have 5 wires that go to the switch, they are red, black, black/yellow, yellow/red, and purple/white. It seems i should be able to touch two of these together and the motor would fire but i dont know which. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Sorry to say that probably no one really wants to answer that question although the answer is a simple one in two parts. The reason for the silence is that the answer would be identical to teaching someone to steal a motor(s).

However, a hint here..... DO NOT under any circumstance apply voltage to that black/yellow wire or you'll destroy the powerpack.

Thanks, i got it figured out about thirty minutes ago, i was touching the right wires, but had a blown fuse, replaced fuse now motor.starts and runs, thanks for the response though that makes sense.

You're welcome. Glad you didn't become insulted as being offensive wasn't my intention. Some questions are somewhat touchy is all.
