"Looks like I need to get inside the tilt cylinder to inspect/change the seal (tilt/trim slowly falls from tilt full up to trim full down over the course of 5 - 10 minutes).
Is there any special way of opening up the tilt cylinder, i.e. can I remove the piston rod assembly to get the removal tool onto the top, or do I have to get the tilt cylinder head assembly off before I can get the piston rod out. (Its a prestolite tilt cylinder)
Trim cylinders have been removed, inspected and seals changed (they were scored), and the unit still slowly falls.
Just want to check the moving bits before moving on to the other seals."
