'79 evinrude 9.9 head torque

I've torn into my 9.9 chasing down a cooling water flow problem. I found some chunks of rubber at the water tube grommet and a couple pieces of old impeller in the bypass cover.

I'll be putting on a new head gasket but I don't have the torque values and bolt sequence. Could someone please post that info?

144-168 inch lbs. Lightly surface the head on a glass table with 220 grit paper just work it in a figure 8 pattern until it all shines the same. Then slowly pull it down in a center out pattern to the proper torque value in at least three steps.
