Hi All
I am replacing the deflectors on the above outboard. I noticed the top 2 cylinders on both sides have inlet holes to the water jacket surrounding the piston housing but I cant tell if the bottom cylinders have the same. I also noticed that the place where you install the deflectors on the bottom cylinders is a lot deeper than the top 2 cylinders om each side. Does anyone know:
a/ If the deflectors are supposed to cover the inlet holes in the cylinders?
b/ Is water supposed to flow through the inner hole in the deflectors (if a is true)
c/ Is it OK that the deflectors on the bottom cylinders have a gap b/w the bottom of the deflector and the cylinder (eg because the water jacket is a lot deeper in the bottom cylinders but the deflectors are all the same size).
Thanks in advance.
