79 115 HP Evinrude Orifice Removal

Sitting out here in the garage rebuilding the carbs. The manual says to remove the high-speed orifice using screwdriver part 717003. I know I should have purchased one when ordering the carb kits, but didn't. Is there something else I can use to remove each orifice?? I don't want to screw them up but sure others have taken orifices out without using this $25.00 screwdriver. Thanks.

Just use a screwdriver with a 3/16" diameter shank.-----Works most of the time !

The $25.00 screwdriver is cheap compaired to the price of the jets if you screw one up. I used to make my own for different apps. There is a site out there that gives you the specs for making one but I can't mention it here.

Racerone gave you the size now all you have to do is grind the end to fit the jet.
