78 evinrude crankcase gasket question

New member
have 78 evinrude 115hp, was told had bad crankcase gaskets... tore her apart and sure enough blown, one half gone.
ordered new gaskets but they lack the little offsets running out towards edge.
anyone ever replace these two gaskets ( port and starb. side) that can advise...thanks.
note this is the first time I have worked on a boat motor...so ANY help would be greatly appreciated

sorry haven't checked computer earlier....
model number 115899c
it does have the spaghetti gasket, I ordered correct gaskets for this model
the gasket numbers are 314964...319274
the problem I see is these gaskets don't have the little outward ends so I don't know if I use gasket compound or trim part off the ends of gasket to fill in 1/4 to 1/2 inch
grooves in crankcase

--If the replacement parts come moulded and the ends are long enuff then you can trim to fit.---If not then you can cut an o-ring to fit .--------Or run to a dealer and buy a foot of this material off a roll and fit that.--------Nothing to it really.
