78 20hp merc short shaft

motor is new to me few questions 1 how to properly remove cowling? 2 Taking down lower unit , looks different then my old 40 and also diferent to videos ive seen thanks

To take the wrap around off of the motor ,under the pull handle is a button push it and the front plate will pop off. Under there are the clamps to release the wrap. To drop the lower unit take the bolts out and it will drop.
