In the process of doing a top

In the process of doing a top end job on this motor. One half of bank four reed plate has two reed petals on it.
Whatsup with that..
Is this the factory setup?

Each reed plate on cyls 1-3 has two leaf petals. A single reed petal on each face of the reed block. Cyl #4 has three leafs, a double petal (back to back to increas tension?)on one side of the block and a single petal on the other.
There are four reed blocks, nine reed petals total.
It's like they are attempting to restrict the flow to cyl #4 for some reason. I don't believe this intake has been off this engine since new. Gasket looked original, had factory paint still on it.

"Rick.... Frankly I've never heard of such a thing and have no idea why that reed box would have two (2) leaf valves installed on one side. I just checked every leaf valve plate assembly I have to see if possibly one might be rigged that way. They aren't. I would assume that someone goofed when that one was assembled.... a case of two stuck together upon assembly. Weird!
