Have a 1977 85 HP Evinrude that runs hot at 4K and above. Had new water pump impeller installed. Thanks for your help.

I would believe a new cup and

I would believe a new cup and plate would probably cure that.

I have a 35 hp Merc that when started water flows from the tell-tale until it runs a while then seems to get weaker until it stops flowing. then it is like it spurts out. Can any one tell me if this is a thermostat problem and how to check? Where is the thermostat?
