Hi everyone, been trying to figure out why I'm not getting any spark to my coils or plugs from the switch box. After checking that Stator, there were some SUPER bad wires, so I replaced the stator, but still NADA. I've checked all the other wires ( trigger plate/switch, rectifier and coils ) for brakes or frays all are good. I've got "Juice" coming in from the stator to the switch box and rectifier, but nothing to the Green wires to the coils. I have bypassed the neutral safety switch and the Mercury Switch and still no spark. I've disconnected the orange wires on the Switch Box and tried, still no spark. I've actually disconnected everything except the Red and Black wires to the control box from the engine, and tried a remote start, STILL NADA! (Would it still start if there was an issue in the control box and or ignition switch?). I have a newer model control box for this motor, that has 8 wires, and my motor has 7. The "Extra Wire" from the control box harness is a Tan/Blue Stripe, and it's not hooked up. When I used a Test Light to see if it was a "Live Wire", there's constant beeping when the ignition switch is "On", but turns off when the ignition switch is "Off". It's obviously grounded as the Test Light is grounded to the motor. Surely this can't be a "No-Spark issue" could it? I would think that that extra wires is for something my engine doesn't have and should be taped off? Another question is if I use that same Test Light for any/all 4 wires from the trigger to switch box, shouldn't it flash while the motor is cranking, as such it does with the stator wires? Cause I get NADA on all 4 trigger wires. Kinda stumped. Cranks STRONG, compression good, fuel delivery good. Just not getting any spark to green wire out to the coils. Any help would be awesome! (BTW, ran awesome the day before, then outa nowhere, no spark. Thought stator due to super bad wires, replaced it, and no change).
