It could be anything from an 81 thru 83 model, but doesn't matter much because they were mechanically identical all the way up to 1985 when they discontinued the 7.5.

It shares most of it's parts with the 9.8 horse of similar vintage.

You can mix this like a modern 2 stroke - 50:1 with regular unleaded (86/87 octane) and TCW3 rated marine 2 stroke oil."

Yeah well us Canadians always have too do something a bit different Graham lol.Thanks so much for the info 'm going to try to fire up this evening after work.It has a Thunderbolt sticker on the front of it as well I noticed at lunch I'm not sure if that has any impact on model or not?
