"I am new to this, but I wondered if anyone could tell me why I have pure gas and oil mix coming out of my exhaust and the motor will not run? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Keith"

Do you have compression? What are the readings?
With the s/plugs removed, do you have spark?"

"Thanks for responding so quickly, Iam not sure if this is the number 327259, not sure of the location of the number. I must have spark, because I put new plugs in it and it ran for about 15 seconds, then died and wont restart. If I wait a day it will run again for about the same amount of time. Havent done a conpression check at this time.Keith"

"Keith, that's not your serial or model number. Check the picture here - you will find the numbers on a little disc on the water jacket of one of the cylinders if you can't find the plate near the transom clamp.

"I dont seem to have anything there, I see where it should be but it is open, no disc there.I have had the motor for 13 years and have had no trouble at all. Any extra help would be appreciated. The pic you sent is alittle differant than mine, but close."

I find it a little amazing how many people have outboards that have had this "removed"."

"I dont know why it would be removed, well I know why some people remove them, but the guy I bought it from 13 years ago, seemed pretty honest, i guess that doesnt mean anything. It has been such a great motor, I just want it fixed. It was the best running and ideling motor. I jug fish and I need it to run the way it did.Any other suggestions?"
 
Any chance you can post a pict

Any chance you can post a picture of the actual motor. And a couple with the hood off wouldn't hurt either. Can probably determine the "range" of the engine class from that which would help.
