" I have a 75 Correct Craft Ski Tique with a 230 OMC unit. The engine was not winterized by previous owner and block is cracked in two places. It seems difficult to find a replacement 307/230 OMC long block, it is a left hand rotation.I don't know the inboard world as I had outboards before.

Does anyone know where I can find a rebuilt?

Will the more popular 305 engine work and will all the accessories bolt up? "

"Check the links on this site and Google around to the various marine engine supplier sites. Don't forget to check out your local marine mech supplier, too.

The 307 was a bit of an oddball GM small block. I THINK the bellhousing bolt pattern is compatible with the 305/350, but ask to make sure or measure it yourself after the engine is out. Most accessories should be compatible. Go with a strong 350, around a 13x13 prop, and that little Ski Tique will pull like a Clydesdale!

ANY SMALL BLOCK CHEVY 85 OR EARLIER WILL WORK AND BOLT UP AND ACC. WILL WORK. ENSURE IT'S A 2 PIECE REAR MAIN SEAL AND RUN A 350. YOU WILL PROBABLY END UP CHANGING THE PROP PITCH TO OPTIMIZE FOR THE EXTRA POWER.
