"In reassembling the water pum
"In reassembling the water pump housing cover, there is a shaft seal in the bottom side. Thought I had everything orientated. However, I must have gotten confused on the orientation of the seal. It seems like the open face of the seal is facing up, i.e. looking on the top of the cover, the spring can be seen. I would have thought this face should be facing the impeller to keep water from blow out from the impeller. Or is the water pressure relativily negative at the shaft side of the impeller? Just wanted to be sure.
My service manual doesn't describe nor have good picture."
