"I'm looking for the specs

"I'm looking for the specs for the recommended fogging procedure for MPI engines. I know that you run a mixture of fuel, stabilizer, and 2 cycle oil, but don't know the ratio or time frame."

"2 cycle oil" ??? Use

"2 cycle oil" ??? Use engine "fogging oil". Treat the fuel with STABIL or a similar product and THEN top off the tank. Run the engine on ear muffs until it reaches oper. temp. and continue for 10 more minutes. Lube the gimbal bearing w/the appropriate bearing grease while it idles.

Remove the flame arrestor and increase the RPMs to 1500 - 2000 or enough to keep the engine from stalling as you spray the fogging oil into the throttle body while holding it wide open for about 20-30 seconds until a good blue smoke comes out the exhaust. Turn the engine off and then stop spraying. I DON'T KILL MY ENGINE WITH FOGGING OIL SINCE OIL DOES NOT COMPRESS. You are done fogging. Perform the rest of the winterizing procedures; drain the block and heads and add antifreeze. Search the site for the procedures.

"Guy:

I doubt if you could

"Guy:

I doubt if you could get THAT much fogger oil in a cylinder to hydraulic anything, but good point. I spray the fogger in 'on the starter'--why let it all burn off with the motor running?

"the reason for the cocktail i

"the reason for the cocktail is to lubricate the injectors for the layup, as just in time states, you need an aux tank, the little 5 gal outboard tank is what i use, install your fuel pickup line from the tank and run, I usually 10 to 15 mins, then dump the rest of fuel into tank. just my 2 cents"
